With the support of Chief J.D. Rice and the Valdosta City Mayor and Council the Valdosta Fire Dept. Pipes and Drums Corp. was started on May of 2004 with four members:Brian Doak(Pipe Major),Sgt. Matt Davis,F.F. Jeff Thibodeau,And Keith Stone.
