The Clinchfield Project is an ongoing endeavor to depict the Clinchfield Railroad using Auran's Trainz(tm) simulation software. The project began in 2001 shortly after I received this wonderful piece of software. The Clinchfield Project has undergone several revisions since its inception and at his point has been downloaded over 13,000 times making it the most downloaded route in Auran history! The present version that can be downloaded at the TrainzProRoutes web site was designed for use with the Ultimate Trainz (UTC) version of the simulation. As of this writing, the current version is being update to Trainz version TRS2004 which will give users the ability to utilize the interactive industries available in this latest edition. The future is bright for the project! Once "The Clinch" has been updated to TRS2004 and released, work will begin immediatly to completely redo the project! The Clinch as it stands now is a "depiction" of the railroad and was intended to capture the general look and feel, but is not a prototypical rendition. Our plans are to completely redo The Clinchfield Project using actual maps and diagrams to produce a close to prototype depiction of The Clinchfield.
