Information So you've Decided on Having an Afghan made for you...
Here is what we need to do, decide on:
1. Yarn type: soft, regular, other
2. Pattern
3. Size
4. Colors: Check the pattern for how many colors are needed and check out your local store for the specific color names.
5. When do you need the finished afghan by?
6. E-mail me with your information.
I will let you know our schedule, provide you with a color photo of the afghan as it goes along and keep you informed of the progress. I will let you know as the afghan is finished that payment can be made at that time. Then the afghan will be sent out to you! I will accept returns, less shipping, if you would be unhappy with the colors after you receive it.

Sizes do not include the fringe, if any.
A Twin bed or sofa size throw is approximately 42 to 47" wide by 60 to 70" long.
A Full or queen bed size is approximately 70 to 80" wide by 80 to 90" long.
King bed size is approximately 90 to 110" wide by 80 to 90" long.
Baby crib size, approximately 30 to 35" wide by 40 to 50" long.
Most patterns can be altered somewhat to make any specific size requested.
Red Heart and Perfect Match yarns come in an almost infinite variety of colors. We are limited only by availability and imagination.
The Soft yarns do not come in as many color variations as the regular.
Our yarn inventory contains almost 30 colors and variegated ombres. For example a burgundy can come in these different variations: Claret, wine, burgundy, rose, roseberry, soft rose, country rose, etc.
These brands DO NOT have a dye lot, therefore, what you see at your local store will be what we can get at our local store.

I can also attempt to send you a photo of the skeins of yarn.
We normally use Red Heart or Perfect Match, 100% acrylic worsted weight yarns. These yarns come in a variety of colors and variegated patterns to match just about any room. They are 4-ply which makes up a warm and cozy blanket. New yarns are available that are SOFT, made by Red Heart and Caron Simply Soft. The soft variety is also acrylic. Both types are non-allergenic, moth-proof and machine wash and dryable. Preferences for other types of yarn can be accommodated, so long as we can get them in our local stores.
To see, in person, any of these yarn varieties, you can visit your local Wal-Mart, Michael's Crafts or Ben Franklin Crafts.

I accept money orders which will have the afghan going out to you the next day.

Shipping will be via US Postal at the priority mail rate, unless otherwise requsted. Send me your zip code for a postal quote. There is a discount for shipping more than one afghan to the same address.
Depending on the volume of afghans that we have already agreed to make, it may take from three to six weeks to make one twin size afghan. The larger afghans will take more time to make and maybe more like two months. Orders are made on a first in, first done basis. Keep in mind that the winter season is the busiest (for everyone!). You can e-mail me to find out our current schedule.
The 100% acrylic worsted weight yarns are machine washable with any detergent on gentle cycle. To dry also use a gentle machine cycle. The yarn retains it's shape, so ironing is not recommended.
For other yarn varieties, I will include the washing instructions that come on the skeins of yarn.
