Sundown Love

We did gaze upon a few sunsets like this when we were on Big Island in December of 1991 but this time around the clouds hovered low on the western horizon almost every day at sundown and perfect postcard-picture sunsets like this were not to be observed. The best sunset view we had on this trip was during an evening cocktail cruise we took on a 36-ft glass-bottom boat in the first week we stayed on the island but, unfortunately, I failed to take my cameras along. Perhaps photography would have spoiled the romantic mood anyway.
