!One of the Dunlavy wives (probably this one) went to the Shaker community
reluctantly, having promised her husband to try living there. When she wished
to leave, her husband refused to let the children go with her. She, thereupon,
appeared before the Kentucky legislature and had a private bill passed that she
could take the children. Had she not done this, we descendants would not have
been born, considering the tenets of that faith. I have my grandmother's,
Antoinette Laughlin McNabb, notes of this; but they are at my home in Illinois,
and I am presently in Florida.
