For the past couple of months I've been playing  every Friday evening at Chevalier's  for the dinner hours. from 6:00 to 9:00 .  I  usuaaly play quiet blues during dinner, unless the crowd is anxious for the boogie.  Often times after the dinner show, I will retire to the back bar and crank it up a few notches. I've had the opportunity to open for, or play with, such notable Columbia  bands and musicians  as  the Kansas City Street Band, Chump Change and Norman Jolly, and this week (10-21-05) it is One Trick Monkey.    I like it here.  If you like Cajun or Southern cuisine and the blues, you will  like it too.  Come on out and have a nice meal with some live blues, and meet the Chevalier family; Jon, Rhonda , Madison, and Zack and the friendly staff too.  It's located in the Best Western Hotel on I-70  S.E. and Keene Street across from Patricia's IGA. Oct 20, 2005  Blue Fugue aka Music Cafe.  on 9th Street in Columbia.  I am playing with Big Medicine.  This isn't strictly blues.  It's Americana  alternative roots rock.  We will be playing the late show as Big Medicine is headlining the show.
