This group is dedicated to learning and using all of the features in the Gimp software program. GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. Many of us have been "playing" with Gimp for some time now. None of us are experts. We are learning, we may know where a few buttons are that other members don't know about but we are all still entry level users. So we invite you join us in this journey of learning and playing as we head down the Gimp path. Enjoy! I suggest the new users check out the two videos, Basics Part 1 and Basics Part 2. We will be adding more tutorial videos as we view them for content. Many of the videos were made while using earlier versions of Gimp so don't get thrown off the path when some feature is missing or in a different location etc. Feel free to ask questions here and to display some of your Gimp projects. You can also test out your Gimp projects by posting them at the Post Testing Site. We all learn by doing and sharing. ~gJ
