HANKE

I have been able to find Peter Hanke in the 1910, 1920, 1930 census, so he must have moved to Cape May Co., before 1910. He owned property free and clear on Dennis Road and was listed as a blacksmith. The elderly woman is listed as his Aunt. Joseph was born New Jersey 13 May,1752/3 Dennis Twp., NJ; d. 18 July 1818/08) Mary (Mercy) was born New Jersey 13 July, 1752/53 NJ; d. ???) . Joseph and Mary were my g-g-g-g-grandparents. Joseph and Mary were parents of Thomas CHESTER who married Ruth PETERSON. They had son, Samuel CHESTER, Sr., who married 1st Elizabeth CASTLE. They had son Samuel CHESTER, Jr. who married Mahala Anna GAY. They had daughter Mary Helen CHESTER who married Charles ENGELMANN. They had daughter (my grandmother) Edna Ellen ENGLEMANN who married Jesse Wilson FINNEY. They had daughter (my mother) Edna Mae FINNEY who married Charles Albert BROWN (my father). They had son Jack Eugene BROWN (me) who married JoAnne SARACINO. We have three children: Jessica Anne Brown who married Andrew Ronald PLUMRIDGE. GOGGIN/DANIELS

I am looking for information on John Gogin (Goggin) my 4 G Grandfather. He was married to Mary Danalds(Daniels) in Cape May County, 17 December, 1771 and had a son Thomas and 2 sisters, Mary and Rachel. I am trying to find information about his Revolutionary War service as a "Minute Man" Volunteer from Cape May. John Gogin (Goggin) b. 8 April 1749 Cape May NJ d. 14 February 1777 aboard a sloop off the Coast of Cape May while guarding against an attack by the British against Philadelphia. Burial at Sea. I am looking for any information on my Great Uncle, Leroy J. ARCHER. He was the principal at Sea Isle City school in the early 1920's. I have a partial newspaper clipping regardin his death. The name of the newspaper ends with "Times", it was Number 6. He died of acute indigestion. He lived on Pleasure Ave. with his wife Mabel (THOMPSON) Archer and their son, Leon.
