Pow Wow

Honoring the 38 Dakota  Mahkato Wacipi
Event Date: September 15th-17th

Shift hours are:

1st Shift 10:00 am - 1:00 pm (Saturday & Sunday only)
2nd Shift: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm ( Friday, Saturday, & Sunday)
3rd Shift: 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm (Friday & Saturday)

    All youth or adults needing community service hours can work at the Mankato Pow Wow. It's held at the Land of Memories Municipal Park.  Shifts are 3 & 4 hours each.  Community service hour time sheets will be available at the volunteer booth during the event. All youth and adults need to check in at the main gate entrance for their name on the master list and come directly to the volunteer booth and sign in.  Youth 15 years old and younger will be teaming up with an adult for all work sites each day.

    All volunteer participants of the event will enter at no charge and eat free at the cook shack.  Food will not be served to the public.  Volunteers will receive their buttons at the volunteer booth when they check in for their job site.  Free pop will be available to all volunteers while at their station.  All volunteers must wear an orange vest and remain at their assigned station until their shift is over.  All volunteers need to check out at the volunteer booth when their shift is over.

   If you are volunteer and coming back the next day, please remember to bring your button to enter the event, check in at the gate and come directly to the volunteer booth.
