We first saw Bob Hillman perform as Suzanne Vega's openning act on her 2001 tour for her album "Songs in Red and Gray." He impressed us with one of the best "opening acts" we had ever seen and we were delighted to see him again in 2002 at the Newport Folk Festival. He has a very unique and interesting voice and his songwriting is sharp and clever. His album "Welcome to My Century" is his most recent and we love it. He also contributes one of the best tracks on Suzanne Vega's "Vigil" project CD: "Communists." Like many of Hillman's songs it is interesting, intelligent, and hilarious all at the same time.
