Do to the closeness and nature of the guild that the DotR members have created, certain requirements must be met to gain membership. These requirements are designed to ensure that the applicant is indeed correct for the guild and that the guild is also correct for the applicant. By way of these steps we ensure that each new member feels at home and that they get to know many of the members before admittance. Applicants will be judged on their ability and willingness to Learn, Grow and most of all Contribute to the guild and group. Applicants will not be judged upon their experience or knowledge of the game.

The recruitment policy is as follows:
1: Any person wishing to join the "Dawn of the Renaissance" guild must be sponsored by a current member of the guild. This "sponsor" will be responsible for introducing the applicant to the guild and speaking on their behalf in the recruitment forums. The sponsor will also be responsible for answering questions by the applicant (or directing them to the proper person) during the entire recruitment process. Note: Guild members may only sponsor 1 applicant at a time.
2: The sponsor and applicant will set up a time in which they can meet up with a guild officer. The officer will spend some time with the applicant. This time spent will be considered an opening interview/hunt with the intent of the officer getting to know the applicant and their goals/desires. The applicant is encouraged to field any questions they may have about the guild or game. If the officer feels that the applicant would fit in with the guild they will invite them into the guild. Note: sponsors who are also officers must seek out a different officer for this interaction.
3a: Applicants who are invited to the guild will be considered by the guild on a trial membership. This trial membership will last no longer than 45 days from acceptance. This time will be used by both guild and applicant to get to know each other. During this time it will be required that the applicant attend no less than 3 scheduled guild events (weekday outings or weekend raids). It is also required that the applicant learn the charter during this time. Message board use is highly encouraged as it is our main communication source.
3b: Upon the granting of a trial membership the applicant will be given access to the members areas of the message board. This access will include all areas except those dealing directly with guild policy or recruitment discussions.
4: Upon the 30th day of a trial membership the sponsor will open a dialog in the recruitment forum. This dialog will be used to discuss/vote on the applicant. At this time members are asked to vote for or against full admittance of the applicant. There will be 15 days allowed for discussion. If in that time the applicant gains the favor of 25% or more of the guild they will be given full member status. If they do not gain the favor of 25% or more in this time they will be denied membership.
