Individual Note:   Edna Blanche Harrison Alexander was a very devoted Baptist Church member. She became a christian after she was married and had 4 of her 11 children. She served as village clerk for the Village of Tilden for several years.

Individual Note:   Andrew Jackson (Jack) Mead and his brothers after they got older apparently were affluent enough to each own a horse as one aquanintance said she remembered the Mead boys riding into St. Mary, Mo. and stirring up the dust by riding their horses in circles just for fun. Jack's son Andrew, recalls a humorous incident told to him about his dad's attempt to catch a wild turkey. "The turkeys appeared every morning in the same place, so he figured he would dig a hole at this spot , get in it and cover himself up with brush hoping the turkeys would walk over this trap--they did and he grabbed one by the leg,but that ole turkey almost flogged him to death and it just about tore up his jacket,besides half freezing while he was waiting for the turkeys.

Individual Note:   Nathenial G. Mead, at the age of 37,in 1862,went off to fight in the Civil War,leaving behind his wife and five children never to see them again.Nathenial enlisted August 18, 1862 and was mustered in on September 9, 1862 and died of chronic diarrhea on March 28, 1863 in Memphis, Tennessee, at the Overton General Army Field Hospital. He is buried in the Memphis National Cemetery at Memphis, Tennessee.
