Follow these steps to import an audio CD track into a Final Cut Pro 3 and Final Cut Pro 4 project in Mac OS X:

    1. Open the audio CD in the Mac OS X Finder and drag the desired .cdda audio track into the media folder for your project. You may want to give the file a more descriptive name.

    2. In Final Cut Pro, activate the Browser window for your project, then choose Import from the File menu and Files from the submenu (or type Command-I).

    3. Navigate to the location in your project's media folder where you copied the audio CD track to, select the .cdda file, and click Choose. Alternatively, you can drag the .cdda file directly into the Browser window from the Finder.

You should now see the audio file in your Browser window where you can edit it into your sequence
