Sim Smith Bridge 1883 WGN 14-61-14 Map Quest Location
Armiesburg, IN. CR 40 N. at CR 310 W. Montezuma
This bridge is reputed to be the only covered bridge in Parke County
to be haunted. The road on which it is located, once the main route from
Rockville to Montezuma. The new highway 36 bypassed this route, but
the bridge was saved.
This is a Burr Arch construction bridge, built by J. A. Britton, it is 84 feet long, 1 span
and crosses the Leatherwood Creek.
And is on the National Register of Historical Places. 1978
