Parke county's shortest covered bridge, it is only 43 feet long, 1 span.
Built by J. A. Britton, it is the only bridge in the county built with
the King Post construction. The new shake roof was funded by
Sam Phillips a member of the bridge's namesake family and
Adopt-A-Bridge It crosses the Big Pond Creek
And is on the National Register of Historical Places. 1978
