J. J. Daniels last covered bridge was bypassed in 1996, and funds usually
designated for demolition of an old bridge were used to restore the covered
bridge. The bridge stripped to its "bare bones" and roof and siding were completely
replaced leaving only the restored portals done by Gary Lynk 1994
This is a Burr Arch construction bridge, 143 feet long, 1 span.
It crosses the little Raccoon Creek.
And is on the National Register of Historical Places. 1978
