J. J. Daniels built this 150 foot bridge, 1 span. Closing the bridge has made it
available for community activities. In addition to the Covered Bridge Festival
dances, Easter sunrise services are held and the bridge is fully decorated for
Christmas caroling by the locals. As in the past, this bridge remains a center
of activity for its citizens.
It was bypassed in 1964, and restored in 1993
This is a Burr Arch construction bridge. It crosses Big Raccoon Creek
And is on the National Register of Historical Places. 1978
