Darlington Covered Bridge 1868 Visited 03-01-2003 WGN 14-54-01 Map Quest Location
This bridge is West of Darlington. It is in fair condition, but will need to have a paint job.
It was built by Joseph Kress, It is a Howe construction bridge, 166 feet long, 2 span.
It crosses the Sugar Creek. It was bypassed in 1976
It also has a floor that I have never seen before. It looks like 4"x 6" timbers on end.
And is on the National Register of Historical Places. 1990
