Located West of Seymour. IN.  By   S.R. 258

It crosses the East Fork White River. It is a 2 span, 325 foot long bridge.

This bridge was built by Robert Paterson. It is a Post Truss bridge. It is the only post truss

bridge in the United States. Post truss is known as the transition or combination from all wood

to the iron bridges.

In 1999 half of this bridge was taken down due to a storm. Local preservationists are diligently

working to secure funds to renovate this bridge as well as others in Jackson County. They hope the

bridge will be fully restored and carry traffic again. The bridge is in very bad condition.
