The Aqueduct Covered Bridge is in Metamora, IN  Franklin County.

It is the only aqueduct bridge in the United States. It carries water for the Whitewater

canal that goes over the Duck Creek. It is a Burr Arch construction bridge

built by ?.  It is 60 feet long with 1 span.  It was restored  1946-1949.

It has 2 Historic listings.  1. Whitewater Canal Historic District 1823-1853 (1973)

2. Metamora Historic district 1838-c. 1923 (1992).

For those of you that doesn't know what an Aqueduct Bridge is, It is a bridge that water

crosses over water. This bridge is in very good condition (2000)

There is also a Grist Mill there.
