I traded my first Roland kit for these drums and a number of Paiste cymbals. It was a great deal for me and got me my first pro drum kit. The blue maple drums were modeled after an Arstar II kit so had these drums been blue they would have been the perfect set at the time. With this kit I developed my carpet system to keep things in order and easy to set-up. I changed my cymbal set-up to better meet my needs. What you see here is what I eventually settled on after some experimentation. I eventually sold this set to a roommate to buy microphones and a mixer once I got the Starclassics.
