Classes run
in sessions which begin the first Monday in January, May, and September
and last 4 months.
Youth Classes
Beginning Fencing
(Youth ages 7-10)
When: Mondays
7:00-7:50 p.m.
Cost: $60 - Registration required
This class is specially formatted for youth
ages 7-10 who are interested in learning fencing. We use the mini-Fence
system developed by Leon Paul. Emphasis is on learning skills through
games and drills aimed at this age group. Towards the end of the
session, students use actual fencing equipment. Drills are for the
foil. Participants need to wear comfortable clothes to workout in.
Beginning Fencing
(Youth ages 11-14)
When: Mondays
7:00-7:50 p.m.
Cost: $60 - Registration required
This is for
those youth ages 11-14 who are interested in learning fencing. The
class emphasis is on the basics of fencing. The foil is used to teach
the basic bladework concepts. Basic tactics and bouting are included in
the class. Participants need to wear comfortable clothes to
workout in.
Continuing Fencing
(Youth ages 7-10)
When:
Mondays 7:00-7:50 p.m.
Cost: $60
This class is for those students who have
completed the Beginning Fencing class or who can demonstrate a basic
knowledge of fencing actions. All drills are with the foil. Emphasis
is on building skills through drill and games. Primary emphasis is on
having fun. Participants need to wear comfortable clothes. Ownership
of fencing gear not required, but recommended.
Fundamentals of Foil
(Youth ages 11-14)
When:
Mondays 7:00-7:50 p.m.
Cost: $60
This class is for those students who have
completed the Beginning Fencing class or who can demonstrate a basic
knowledge of fencing actions with the foil. This class build upon the
techniques developed in the Beginning Fencing class. More detailed
bladework and tactics for the foil are learned and practiced.

Fundamentals of Sabre
(Youth)

Mondays 7:00-7:50 p.m.
Cost: $60
This class is for those students who have
completed the Beginning Fencing class. This class build upon the
techniques developed in the Beginning Fencing class. More detailed
bladework and tactics for the saber are learned and practiced.
Participants need to wear comfortable clothes. Ownership of fencing
gear not required, but recommended.
Advanced Fencing
(Youth)
When:
Mondays 7:00-7:50 p.m.
Cost: $60
This class is for those students who have
attained a level of proficiency with one or more weapons and are ready
to move on to more advanced topics including tactics, rules, event
preparation, etc. Participants need to wear comfortable clothes.
Ownership of fencing gear not required, but recommended.
