I've finally finished the second basement room as a dedicated home theater.
The room is 19 feet wide and 15 feet deep at its widest (13 feet near the door at left). The double box constricting the room at bottom left is the furnace/central air unit. I chose this layout because I wanted it more open than the more standard (long-ways) layout, with one couch in front and one behind.
