I love film commentaries on DVDs. I always look for it when I'm thinking of buying a movie, and it often sways my decision. I got excited when I heard about DVD Tracks, a place where you can find alternative commentaries done by fans who want to share their knowledge and feelings about the films they love. What a great idea.

Casablanca Commentary My favorite movie is Casablanca. I love the characters, the dialog, the music, the setting, the theme...everything. It is dark, yet uplifting; tense and well-plotted. Humphrey Bogart is at his best, and Ingrid Bergman is luminous. DVD Tracks didn't have a commentary for Casablanca, and I was disappointed in the two that are featured on the new 2-disk special edition (altho it's a good disk anyway and includes outtakes and even a Bugs Bunny cartoon), so it made sense as my first alternative commentary.
