James Evans Died Of Heart Attack Tuesday

James Evans, prominent citizen of Columbiana and widely known throughout the county, died in the late afternoon Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Walter Thompson, in Wilton as a result of a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Evans had gone on Saturday to visit their daughter and he suffered an attack on Sunday night, but rallied and throughout the two following days his condition seemed improved.

Cosper, Vincent, and Mrs. Walter Thompson of Wilson; three sisters, Mrs. Johnson of Birmingham; Mrs. Jim Harper, of Chelsea and Mrs. Kimble, Birmingham and two brothers, Robert Evans of Birmingham and John Evans of Washington City.
