The Johan Philip Cloninger Family

According to the "Cloninger Family History," by Doy Cloninger, "Johan Philip Cloninger was born 1725 and died around 1800. He is possibly buried with his son Michael at Denver, N.C. near Rock Springs Camp Ground.

"Philip married Maria Charlotta Wull, daughter of Hans Adam Wull on 23 May 1747 at Lautenbach, Germany.

"Philip and Maria came to Philadelphia, PA. 13 October 1747 on The ship 'Two Brothers.' They then settled in Berks Co. PA., Windsor Township.

"Philip Cloninger, his wife and two sons moved to North Carolina in 1768. "
