It comes with most the codecs that you are going to need, to play just about any video you run across online. Download it today, before patient Nazi's manage to run it out of existence. Media Player Classic is my video player of choice. I watch much more video on my PC then the average person, and it works great for me nearly all the time. Its nice and light on your system resources, plays just about anything you throw at it, and has a nice simple interface. Every once in a blue moon I run into a video MPC has issues playing, or playing in sync. For that I do keep VLC handy and installed. MPC is free, open source, and just all around great.
