The Singularity is an event in history yet to come. It is the point when mankind receives the keys to the universe. It will be precipitated by the exponential advancement of the Singularity technologies of molecular nanotechnology, molecular biotechnology, and artificial general intelligence. The Singularity will occur very suddenly and disruptively to current social systems. The Singularity promises great benefits but also contains great risks.
