I surf a lot for midi's, and sometimes twiddle with those I like, but may be on the edge, or don't sound like I'd like for some reason -- patch, tempo, uneven rythmns, etc. Playing with others' sequences has been how I learned the process -- "how'd they DO that?? -- Oh I see -- COOL!" I keep them for my own enjoyment and never re-post them on the net.

Trycho is on the lookout for those of theirs that are copyrighted and being passed around for free by traders, etc. In reality, they probably have the right to do so. Don't care for their methods I've heard of, necessarily.

I don't use re-mixed mids here on the site, because I do my sequences that I share here from the ground up. I enjoy the process of it -- it's like a complicated puzzle to me.

Trycho and Fox would probably not have noticed if your friend had kept it for his own enjoyment or shared it with online friends on a one-to-one basis only....

My 2-cents' worth, Dave
