Glen -- Thanks for your kind words!!
My equipment that I sequence with and for is an external Roland SoundCanvas SC55mkII -- I've had it since 1994 and can't say I've found anything that makes me want to get rid of it. I upgraded my PC's soundcard to a SoundBlaster Live! that has sound font capabilities. I have found a sound font that is based on the SoundCanvas that is the closest I've heard to the quality of my external module. I run the SC55mkII from my PC with a WinMan MIDIMan 2x2 interface (ISA) that has 2 out and 2 in lines. I constantly look for other sound fonts for the SBLive and have found a few that are good -- one Steinway grand piano is very good. I am still exploring those possibilities....
Knowing you listen to the sequences with another in the SC line -- means you hear what I hear while I sequence.... Good deal!!
Thanks,
Dave
