| Do
I need to be a professional model to qualify for a photoshoot? |
No. Previous modeling experience helps but it is not
required. I have shot professional models, amateur models and every
day women, men, teenagers, children, couples and groups .
In my experience I've found that there is always a suitable concept
for every face. The only requirement is that you are NOT camera shy.
Be aware that I cannot say yes to every application as I have to many
enquiries daily.

|
What do I get for
the photoshoot?
|
I work on a TFP / TFCD basis providing every single one
of my models with:
- Several printed images. No smaller than 8" X 10.00"
- A contact sheet of images so you can send it to modeling agencies.
- CD containing the edited images.
- $$$$ Negotiable
per hour /
when applicable.
|
| How much will
the photoshoot cost me? |
The photoshoot is absolutely free. Photography
agencies charge between $600-$1000 for the same service I provide.
The only thing you are required to do is to sign a Model
Release . A model release is a document which enables
me to sell the photos under a royalty free license.
Here you can read an important extract from the model release:
"By signing this release I hereby give the Photographer/
Filmmaker and Assigns my permission to license the Images and to
use the Images in any Media for any purpose (except pornographic or
defamatory) which may include, among others, advertising, promotion,
marketing and packaging for any product or service."
If you do not wish to sign the model release but still would like a
photoshoot I can do it for $300 and you will get the same items
already mentioned above less the hourly fee.
|
| What
sort of photos will be taken during the photoshoot? |
Generally I shoot business, fashion and lifestyle.
You are welcome to come up with your own ideas prior the photoshoot.
It is very important for me that you walk out of my studio/shoot with
the photos you had in mind or better.
|
| Where
will my photos be used? |
Photos sold under a Royalty Free licence are used in
digital and print media including: magazines, newspapers, leaflets,
brochures, websites and books.
The photo libraries I use to market my photos have strict terms and
conditions for buyers in their TOS. Here is an important extract from
one of the agencies terms of service for buyers:
" You may NOT use an Image in a way that
places any person in the photo in a bad light or depicts them in a way
that they may find offensive - this includes, but is not limited to:
a) the use of Images in pornography; b) tobacco ads; c) ads for adult
entertainment clubs or similar venues, or for escort, dating or
similar services; d) political endorsements; e) advertisements for
pharmaceutical products, including, but not limited to personal
hygiene or birth control products; and f) uses that are defamatory, or
contain otherwise unlawful, offensive or immoral content."
|
| Can
I get references from previous models? |
Of course you can, I have shot many models without a
problem and I am yet to see an unhappy face walking out from my
studio.
|
| Where
do the photoshoots take place? |
They take place in my home-studio in Cedar Rapids ,Iowa. If you
feel safer going to a public studio or public place I have
no problems with that . You can bring someone along with you if
it makes you feel safer and more confident. Having said that take into
consideration that boyfriends/girlfriends are not always the most appropriate
companion during a photoshoot. Parents/friends are always more
cooperative and relaxed.
|
| Do
you provide a make up artist and a hair stylist? |
Normally my models do their hair and makeup
themselves but I can get a hair stylist on request for a fee. You are
ask to be completely groomed and in clean attire. I have turned people
away because they come to the shoot completely un-groomed. Remember
these images are used for business ads and for your own keepsakes.
