Dr. Jo Anne Link Pianist Jo Anne Link has
appeared extensively as soloist, duo-pianist, and chamber musician throughout
the Midwest and Southwest. She has appeared as soloist with the Maple Mount
Festival Orchestra, the Jordan Conservatory Orchestra, and has toured as
soloist with the University of Arizona Orchestra. Her teachers have included the Rudolph Ganz
pupil and master pedagogue, Martin Marks, and the eminent pianist, Lee Luvisi
(pupil of Rudolph Serkin and Mieczyslav Horszowski).
She has also coached with Claude Frank as a performing member of his master class at
the Aspen School of Music. Recent studies have included the St. Petersburg
Conservatory of Music in Russia, and the International Keyboard Institute at
Mannes College in New York.
Dr. Link has taught at
the University of Louisville, the University of Arizona, Gustavus Adolphus
College, Macalester College
and the College of St. Catherine. Among the many awards received by her
students: Winner-MTNA National Baldwin Awards—State Division. 1st and 2nd place in the
International Recording Competition of Austin, Texas. Winners in
concerto competitions at the University of Louisville and the College of St. Catherine. Finalists in the
Schubert Club Scholarship Auditions and 3rd place winner in the SPPTA Concerto
Auditions. In a life dedicated to
music and the art of the piano, Jo Anne is devoted to guiding serious young
students into the ever-amazing and challenging world of classical music.
