·         e-Piano Junior Festival – Selected, by audition, for the Oxana Yablonskaya Master Class and Evening Recital, Performing Schubert’s Wanderer Fantasy mvmts. 3 and 4

 

·         Scholarship Recipient – Oberlin Conservatory of Music Dean’s Scholarship, the John F. Oberlin Scholarship, and the Senator Robert C. Byrd Scholarship, to attend Oberlin as a Double-Major in Piano and Chemistry

·         Winner, Fourth Place - Thursday Musical Young Artist Scholarship – Senior High Level

·         Senior Recital – Full, professional length, Graduation Solo Recital.  Sateren Auditorium, Augsburg College

 

·         Finalist – Young Peoples’ Symphony Concert Association (YPSCA) of the Minnesota Orchestra Concerto Competition.  Winner of the YPSCA Prize.

 

Kenny Broberg

 

·         Finalist – Young Artist Piano Camp UMD Concerto Competition

 

·         Selected - Young Artist Piano Camp UMD Honors Recital

 

·         Winner, 1st Place – Young Artist Piano Camp UMD Chamber Music Competition, performing Mozart’s Quartet in G Minor, K 476 for piano, violin, viola, and cello

 

·         e-Piano Junior Festival – Selected, by audition, for the Oxana Yablonskaya Master Class and Evening Recital, Performing Mendelssohn’s Variations Serieuses.

 

·         Web-site Performance – Selected by Thursday Musical to record a performance for its web-site as winner of its Young Artist Scholarship Competition, Junior High Level

 

·         Freshman Piano Recital – Full, professional length Freshman Solo Recital featuring the works of Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff

 

·         Grant Recipient – Schubert Club Grant to attend the Young Artists Piano Camp - UMD

 

·         Finalist – Schubert Club Scholarship Competition - Junior High Level

 

·         Winner, First Place – Thursday Musical Young Artist Scholarship Competition – Junior High Level

 

·         Winner, First Place - MTNA National Baldwin Awards – State Division

 

·         New York Recital – As one of 45 young artists accepted worldwide from 18 countries (10 Americans), Kenny was invited to the Minnesota International Piano-e-Competition, performing a recital at the Yamaha Artist Services International Salon in New York City
