the Minnesota Symphony Orchestra’s Concerto Competition. Received the YPSCA Award for his
performance in Orchestra Hall. ·

Selected – National Public Radio’s From the Top, selected
Adam’s performance of the Muczynski Preludes for an “all pianists
special edition featuring highlights from past broadcasts”. ·
2nd Prize - Young People’s Symphony Concert Association (YPSCA) of
the Minnesota Symphony Orchestra’s Concerto Competition. Received the Edwin Norberg Prize for
his performance in Orchestra Hall. ·
Selected Recitalist – Salon se leve Concert Series, February, 2004. ·
Selected – The Minnesota Music Teachers Association selected Adam to
perform Beethoven’s “Waldstein” Sonata (1st movement) for the
Christopher O’Riley master class. ·
Selected – As a performing member of the Salon se Leve Concert Series,
Adam was selected to perform in the master class of Stephen Kovacevich, one
of the world’s great pianists. ·
Selected – As the recipient of the Edwin Norberg Prize for his performance in
Orchestra Hall, Adam was invited to perform Liszt’s Transcendental Etude
No. 10 in F minor for the annual meeting of the Young People’s Symphony
Concert Association (YPSCA) of the Minnesota Orchestra. ·
3rd Prize – The Lee Biennial Piano Competition, Augustana College,
Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Division II (age 12-14). Jimmy Broberg ·
Alternate – Young Artist Piano Camp UMD Concerto Competition. ·
Finalist - 2004 Schubert Club Scholarship Competition – Junior High
Division. ·

Television Broadcast – The television program, Music da camera, will
present Jimmy as soloist and duettist (with his brother, Kenny). The program will be aired to over
18,000,000 households in the fall, 2004. ·
Selected – The Minnesota Music Teachers Association selected Jimmy
to perform the Allegro de Concierto of Granados for the Christopher
O’Riley master class. ·
Solo recital – Jimmy shared with his brother, Kenny, an hour-long solo
recital for the Augustana Retirement Community. Kenny Broberg ·
Selected – The Minnesota Music Teachers Association selected Kenny
to perform Chopin’s Waltz in E minor, Op. Posth. for the Maria
Rantapaa master class. ·
Television Broadcast – The television program, Music da camera, will
present Kenny as soloist and duettist (with his brother, Jimmy). The program will be aired to over

the Minnesota Symphony Orchestra’s Concerto Competition. Received the YPSCA Award for her
performance in Orchestra Hall. ·
Selected – The Minnesota Music Teachers Association selected Lillie
as the alternate to perform Liszt’s Rigoletto Fantasy for the
Christopher O’Riley master class. ·
Scholarship Winner – Lillie was selected for one of the two 2004 Minnesota
Federation of Music Clubs Young Artist Piano Camp Awards. Claire Glenn ·
Selected – Claire was selected, by audition, to perform the Summer Journal
of Muczynski for the Mordecai Shehori Master Class at the Young Artists Piano
Camp, UMD. Alex Johnson ·
Selected – One of four Twin Cities young artists selected to perform
for Frances Renzi’s Master Class at the MacPhail Center for the Arts ·
2nd Place – 2003 Schubert Club Scholarship Competition –High School
Division. ·
Scholarship Winner – International Institute for Young Musicians (IIYM)
Summer Piano Camp, University of California – Santa Barbara. ·
Honorable Mention – Thursday Musical Scholarship Competition (2004) – High
School Division. ·
Scholarship Winner – Alex was awarded a full scholarship to the
International Keyboard Institute & Festival, a prestigious two-week
summer event held in New York City.
He studied privately with Jerome Rose, Mordecai Shehori, Victor
Rosenbalm, Vladimir Shakin, and Vladislav Kovalsky. ·
Accepted – Alex was accepted for an intensive two-week program of
study at Piano Summer at New Paltz, State University of New York, New
Paltz. Alex studied with the
legendary Russian pianist, Valdimir Feltzman, as well as, Robert Hamilton,
Phillip Kawin, Paul Ostrovsky, Alexander Slobodyanik, and Eleri Andjaparidze. Nicholas Qiu ·
Selected – The Minnesota Music Teachers Association selected
Nicholas as the alternate to perform Rachdmaninoff’s Polchinelle for
the Maria Rantapaa master class. Ann Wolski ·
