Warning Date: 5:28 am CST on January 11, 2010
WarningSum:...Hard Freeze Warning Remains In Effect Until 8 Am Cst This
Morning...
Warning Message:A hard freeze warning remains in effect until 8 am CST this
morning.
While sub-freezing temperatures will occur again tonight and Tuesday
night...durations of 26 degrees or below are not expected to meet
the requirement for a hard freeze warning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A hard freeze means temperatures are expected to drop below
26 degrees for more than five hours.
Be particularly careful with portable heaters...there is a danger
of fire or poisonous fumes with fueled heaters.
Make frequent checks on the elderly. Make sure their furnaces are
working and heating the house properly.
Make sure space heaters are not left unattended and are not used
near flammable materials such as curtains or bed coverings.
Pets are subject to the extreme cold. Keep pets indoors as much
as possible. If this is not possible...make sure outdoor pets
have warm dry shelter...and provide sufficient food and fresh
unfrozen water.
A hard freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent
or highly likely.

Warning Message:...Fire Weather Watch in effect Tuesday afternoon...
The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a Fire Weather
Watch...which is in effect Tuesday afternoon. A red flag warning
remains in effect from 10 am this morning to 6 PM CST this
evening.
Surface humidity this afternoon expected to be around 25 percent
with 20 foot winds of 10 to 15 mph and occasionally higher.

relative humidity and dry fuel will create rapid fire growth
potential.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later
forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
