CLEARLAKE MODELERS SOLO FLIGHT REQUIREMENTS

The student pilot must achieve a level of competence in performing the following flight maneuvers and follow all Club Safety Rules. Upon the flight instructors discretion, the student pilot will be awarded solo pilot status.

1. PERFORM PRE-FLIGHT CHECK.

2. ENGINE START.

3. TAXI TO RUNWAY.

4. TAKEOFF.

5. FLY A STANDARD TRAFFIC PATTERN.

6. COMPLETE ONE LOOP.

7. FIGURE EIGHT, MAINTAINING A CONSTANT ALTITUDE.

8. RUDDER TURNS (INSTRUCTORS DISCRETION).

9. THREE TAKEOFF AND LANDINGS WITHOUT ENGINE FAILURE DUE TO POOR LANDING (INSTRUCTORS DISCRETION).
