The Clearlake Modelers hosted a Club Fun Fly on Saturday, August 9, 2008. The fun started at 9:00 a.m. and lasted through mid-afternoon. There was a good turnout and lots of good food!
Paul and Rick had some contests planned but the windy weather had other ideas. Pilots flew in the windy weather and everyone had a good time. Jack Tatum took the following photos.
Rick Munroe is taking a break from tending his BBQ chicken to chat with Fred.

Lunch is ready and folks are filling their plates. Looks like Ed Smith was the first in line. He was probably really hungry after smelling Rick's delicious chicken cooking on the grill.
Steve, Merrill, Sharon and Dick sampling the good stuff at the food table.
Jay Carey showing off the bi-plane he just bought from Jeff Farrin.
Ed Smith (and his dog, Kickback), Jack West and Dick Benjamin taking a break under the shade!
Bob DuBois watches as Dan Avilla (Chad's dad) gets ready to fly his Beaver.
Fred Constantine getting ready to fly his Lanzo Bomber.
Harry Leacock and Duane Sanders both keeping a watchful eye on Duane's plane.
As you can see by the cars parked in the lot, turnout for the fun fly was good.
Jeff Farrin heading across the runway to retrieve his plane. Apparently his battery had a dead cell and the plane came down too early!
