CLEARLAKE MODELERS CLUB

BY-LAWS

ARTICLE 1 – OFFICERS

The Officers of the CLEARLAKE MODELERS CLUB shall be:
A. President
B. Vice-President
C. Secretary
D. Treasurer


ARTICLE II – DUTIES

A. PRESIDENT – The President shall preside at all meetings of the club, and shall act as spokesperson for the club in all matters pertaining to it. The President shall appoint all committee chairpersons except Membership and Frequency Control Committees.

B. VICE-PRESIDENT – The Vice-President shall act for the President when he or she is unable to serve. The Vice-President shall also act as the Chairman of the Membership Committee, and the Frequency Control Committee. He or she shall keep records of all membership. The Membership Committee shall review all new membership applications and see to it that they get a copy of the Club Constitution, Club By-Laws, Club Roster, and Club Field Rules.

C. SECRETARY – The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings, and the attendance roll of such meetings. In absence of Newsletter Editor, the Secretary shall assume duties of it. The Secretary is responsible for all written communication for the Club. The Secretary shall also be responsible for all mail pickup. If absent, or unable to pick up mail, President shall be notified.

D. TREASURER – The Treasurer shall collect all money and shall keep a written record of money received and money disbursed by the Club. He or she shall provide himself with an official ledger for the maintenance of official records. Treasurers records shall be retained for at least five years. The Treasurer shall have a detailed report at all regular meetings. All records of the Treasurer shall be supplied to and audited by a committee appointed by the President on December 31st of each year. Treasurer shall maintain club bank account, which will require two signatures, one his or hers, the other one the President. All payments must be approved by the President.


ARTICLE III – DUTIES

1. Club Officers shall be elected every year. Each Officer will hold his or her office for one year.

2. Outgoing Officers may be elected to the same office as many times as he or she will serve.

3. The Club Historian is appointed to keep a pictorial and news clipping record of club activities.

4. Meetings shall be conducted with at least two elected officers present, to preside over meeting. A member may be appointed to take minutes.

5. Nomination of officers shall be held at the regular November meeting. Nominations will be made by the individual members present at the meeting. The term of office will start January 1st.

6. Nominees shall be elected by written ballet at the November meeting by members present at that meeting. Ballot shall be distributed and collected by the Secretary, and counted by the President and Secretary.


ARTICLE IV – LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP

1. Membership in the Club may be revoked for any of the following reasons:

A. Non-payment of Club dues, or AMA dues.
B. For cause not consistent with the principles of decency and good character.
C. Constant violation of AMA safety rules and posted field rules.


ARTICLE V – STANDING COMMITTEES

A. Operations Committee
B. Program Committee
C. Telephone Committee
D. Cleanup Committee
E. Insurance Committee
F. Flying Site Committee
G. Budget and Finance Committee
H. Any other Committee President deems necessary.
