March 18, 2010 E-Mail Update from Doug Moore:

I Spoke with Pedro Rubio today. He said cars and pickups are OK to drive into the flying site...no heavy trucks unless he is notified first. There are still some low wet areas so be careful where you drive. Vehicles are to enter and exit the flying site at the location in photo...clearly marked.

Glen spent a few hours today dragging the field...the south end looks very nice!

March 26, 2010. Please do not drive vehicles over the newly rocked area as it is not yet hardened. You will leave deep ruts!!!!!!!!!

May 5, 2010. These photos were taken by Doug Moore and show everyone working hard after the cows and the last storm paid our field a visit. Thanks to lots of member support all buildings and equipment are now out of the temporary storage area. Some tables are still in need of repair and there is debris to be removed. Our field is really starting to look pretty good!

June 20, 2010. Sunday morning Kevin put the finishing touches on the poles. By noon Paul Biehler, Kevin Coker, Don Wicks, Jack Tatum and Doug Moore had half the netting put up. You'll notice that some of the extra carpeting has been used to create taxiways for the planes (especially until the runway can be watered and rolled).

Doug Moore getting his bi-plane ready for flight. Quite possibly he's double-checking to see if the pilot is in place. You see, the pilot has velcro on his bottom and Doug uses him in several planes. Photo June 27, 2010 by Dee Tatum
