From Frederick, MD take US 15 north to Thurmont MD, turn on route 77 toward Hagerstown. Follow along Hunting Creek.

Reportably they didn't have too much luck. However, later Jimmy Carter, an avid fly fishing sportsman, had better luck. Today it is a catch and release area.

As we follow the creek, we will reach the Catoctin Mountain Park Visitor's Center, Camp David is located within the boundries of the Park.

At times the helicopters have to land in Thurmont due to low clouds and fog. The President is then transported from Camp David to Thurmont via limo.

We should see a sign that reads Camp David.

It is not there.
