Journey to China

This is the EXCITING part - the actual trip to China!

Now that we are on our way, this page is where we will post updates about the trip. With any luck, we will have internet access most places and be able to update on a regular basis while we are in China. Our Trip Itinerary 2/24/05 - 3/9/05

	2/24 Fly from Chicago to Beijing
	2/25 Arrive in Beijing [SHOW ME]
	2/26 Adjust to new time and sightsee. Visit the Great Wall & Cloisonne Factory. [SHOW ME]
	2/27 Visit Tiananman Square, the Forbidden City, and take the Hutong Tour. [SHOW ME]
	2/28 GOTCHA DAY! Break off from the main group and fly to Nanchang. We'll receive Macey in the afternoon! [SHOW ME]
	3/1 In Nanchang filling out paperwork - adoption registration and notarization. [SHOW ME]
	3/2 Visit Teng Wang Pagoda and a porcelain shop. [SHOW ME]
	3/3 Free day to explore Nanchang and get acquainted with our new daughter. [SHOW ME]

	3/4 Receive all the documents. Fly to Guangzhou and rejoin the rest of the adoption group. Stay in the White Swan Hotel. [SHOW ME]
	3/5 Medical exam and visa pictures for the children [SHOW ME]
	3/6 Prepare consulate documents. [SHOW ME]
	3/7 Visa appointment. [SHOW ME]
	3/8 Take oath in the morning. Pick up visa at 3pm. Fly to Hong Kong for our last night in China. [SHOW ME]
	3/9 Fly Hong Kong to Chicago, drop off our immigration paperwork and Macey is a United States citizen! [SHOW ME]

A MAP OF OUR TRIP

Tonggu is a small town and difficult to locate exactly, but after much digging, I marked the approximate location on the map. We won't actually travel to Tonggu, but that is where Macey was born and where the orphanage is located - it's about 160km from Nanchang.
