Our direct flight from Hong Kong was to leave at 11:40am, so we got up, had another nutritious meal at McDonalds and headed back to the airport, bags in tow. It was early enough that lines were short and check-in was a breeze.

The 747 boarded on time, but ran into trouble while loading some large cargo containers. Apparently the track inside the plane somehow bent and they had to wait for a decision from the corporate office as to whether to fix it or fly on without all the cargo. 2 hours later they decided to fix it - so everyone deboarded and got something to eat. We finally took off at 5:30pm - not a steller start.

Just before takeoff, the captain informed us that our 'non-stop' flight to Chicago would have to make a 'technical stop' in San Francisco to change crew, who due to union rules, were not allowed to be on duty over a certain number of hours. We finally made it to Chicago, but were 10 hours late. Most people with connecting flights ended up staying the night. We finally made it home at 2:30am! Luckily, our body clocks were still on China time or we would have stayed in Chicago too.

Macey is now legally adopted into our family and a U.S. Citizen! We had a small early morning celebration when we arrived home.

Ashlynn and Ally were very excited to meet their new sister and vice-versa.

Here's one in everyone's new Chinese 'Pajamas'

By the way, Chinese Pajamas also give you amazing Kung Fu powers!

That's it! Mission accomplished - thanks for tagging along with us on our journey the last 2 weeks. Bye!
