Today, our Bethany representatives took all of our group's paperwork down to the US Consulate to file for the kid's visas. The parents did not have to go with, so it was basically another free day.
Macey woke up in a great mood. she loves her stacking cups.
I had a chance to visit the new Loparex plant here in Guangzhou. It is a new facility that just opened this summer.
While I was at Loparex, Julie did some more shopping around Shamain Island. Here she is in front of one of her favorite stores, Jennifer's place:
After I got back, we went to another shopping area and visited the 'Pearl Factory'. Here you can pick out your own fresh-water pearls and have them hand-knotted into necklaces or mounted into earrings right in front of you. I've never seen so many pearls in my life!
When we reurned, Macey had a snack of Chinese Chips Ahoy.
Julie couldn't take it any longer! She needed pizza! We had some delivered, along with some potato skins - we weren't sure what to expect, but it was very good. It was probably the first time Macey had even seen a pizza.
This is our last night in Guangzhou. Tomorrow we pack up, go to the Consulate to receive the kid's visas, and then fly to Hong Kong. This may be my last chance to post until we get back to he U.S., as we don't know if we will have a connection in Hong Kong. If we do, I will - If not, check back in a couple of days and I'll get things posted ASAP.
