Loren Peterson

Here is Loren's 74 Thing. Military parts have been added to resemble a mid 70s German NATO MP (Feldjager) wagen. Desert Camo. It has Siren/Emergency light, rifle racks, Euro turn signals, and two tops (bikini and reg). In addition it is equipped with removeable window curtains and black out (antiaircraft) driving and tail lights. Loren bought the car from a soldier at the pentagon. He flew out to DC to pick up the car and brought it back on a Uhaul trailer. It was painted by a painter that paints Military vehicles going to Iraq. I also mounted a siren/and light on front bumper. Not correct but Loren likes it.

More features include blizzak tires and original 14 in tires and wheels with painted wheel covers. The engine is from MOFOCO. It has duckboards on the floor. This type of vehicle is referred to as a Type 181 in Europe, a Safari in Mexico, and a Trekker in England. It was a NATO vehicle from 69 to 80 used by Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, etc.
