The May meeting will be held in conjunction with the Cruisin for Camp Courageous on May 18th. If you don't know the way, met with your friends at the Hardees in Eldridge for the caravan. We'll leave at 8:00 am sharp! Remember, this is our club participation event this year. This event starts at 10:00 am and will be held at Camp Courageous in Monticello, Iowa. They have even added a VW class to make us feel welcome! Historically the Corvette club takes the top club participation award every year at this event. We need to show them the power of German cars and the conviction of our club. We need ALL members to make every effort to attend this function to bolster our numbers. Come on out and help support our club and knock the Corvettes off the pedistal! Look here for more details and to sign up for the show. To make sure your car is running fine for the trip to Monticello we also have a warm up event for you on Saturday, May 17th. Club members are encouraged to bring their cars to the German American Heritage Center, just off the Centennial bridge in Davenport. The car display will be held in conjunction with the Mississippi River Ramblers 10K walk that day. If you are planning to attend this event and haven't already signed up, please contact me so we have an accurate count. If there is sufficient interest, they will have Brown Street blocked off for display of our cars and we are requesting folks be there from 8:00 am through 1:00 pm. Help us make this event a success and show off your German iron. I've updated the events calendar for 2008. If you are aware of additional VW events you'd like to include on our calendar, please send them to me for inclusion. The QC picnic pictures for 2007 can be found here. Last years Oktober fest pictures are here. The Central Iowa meetings have been suspended until further notice. A new supply of club T-shirts are now available from Bill Case.
