1. UL expects adult behavior from all of its members at all times. This is not to say you cannot have fun, but you should be aware of others and how your behavior is affecting them.

2. Guild chat is not for bitch sessions, nor is it a place to vent your frustrations with other guild members. If you have an issue with someone, work it out in /tells or bring in an officer and form a channel. People using guild chat to abuse a member will lose their ability to talk in chat.

3. You represent not only yourself, but everyone who wears the UL guild tag. Members should strive to act in a manner that makes others respect that name. Members should avoid begging, spamming /ooc, inciting and insulting in zone chat, or other unsavory activities while wearing our guild tag.

4. Sony/Verant may not believe in camps, but we do. As a member of UL, you will respect other people's camps. When you move into an area, you should call a Camp Check in /ooc BEFORE moving to a location. If your desired camp is NOT taken, you should then CLAIM the spot by announcing /ooc. Then move to your spot. Try to remember to claim your camp whenever anyone else calls for a camp check. Claim the camp you're at. If you're in West killing a monster, don't claim DS at the same time. Finish your encounter, then move and claim DS.

5. Respect each other. Show loyalty to each other. A guild group should be more important to you than a pick up group. A guild raid or event should trump even a guild group.

6. Sexual Harassment: Most of us don't mind a little playful, sexual banter, but some do. It's also very easy to cross the line and seriously creep out or hurt someone. We can't censor everything you say in /guild or in /tells and judge it before it goes out to the general public, but you CAN. If you say something that you think has crossed the line, send the person a tell and ask if they were bothered. COMMUNICATION IS KEY. If someone says something to you that you deem inappropriate, let them know you don't like that kind of talk. Ask them to stop. If they don't, tell an officer.

7. Raid Attendance: If you are offline, then it won't be held against you, though if you are not online often then you should not expect to win an item just because someone else (with more regular attendance) won something more recently.

If you are online and choosing to 'take a night off' from raiding, then it's considered more serious and the officers will likely impose some sort of 'waiting period' before you may loot anything at all from any raid of any kind or use guildchat to ask for guild help on a quest. When you've shown a few weeks of regular attendance again, this restriction will be removed.

If you cannot make it, you should speak with an officer and let them know. i.e. I'm logging in 20 minutes, or I'm just putting up trader, or something! If you are online, and a tell is sent to you and you do not respond or you say that you are not coming, it will be classified as a 'skip' and the consequences mentioned above will follow and you will be informed. We will use our judgement when there are 'gray areas' involved.

If you choose to skip a raid, and don't have a valid reason for doing so, you will not be considered for loot for the next 5 raids you do attend. Skip a second raid and you will not be considered for loot for the next 10 raids you attend. Skip a third raid and we will consider guild removal.

Manage to attend raids for three months after the first skip or second skips and you start with a clean slate.

We're all here to help each other do things we couldn't do by ourselves in a small group. It's the commitment that is expected of you when you are online that you will attend the raids when they are called in the guildmotd.

8. Guild Items: When you take part in Unspoken Legacy, you have agreed that any droppable items you win or receive through UL's efforts are the property of the guild. You will not sell them. You will return them to the guild should you choose to leave the guild or be asked to leave.

Consequences: People seen acting in a fashion contrary to the Code of Conduct will be approached about their actions for their input, efforts will be made to get all the facts, and a decision will be made concerning a consequence. Consequences can include a simple warning not to repeat the offense, a warning and asking for a sincere public apology, being put on probation and warned a future offense will mean guild removal, or removal from the guild and asking for droppables to be turned in. Some actions CAN lead to immediate dismissal.

Appeals Concerning the Code of Conduct:

-If you feel a violation of the conduct code has occurred and you feel it passes beyond your comfort level or ability to resolve, you may bring it to an officers attention for their review. You may also bring it to the attention of the Member/Officer Council for them to review, fact find, and make a suggestion to the officers concerning possible action.

-If you feel a consequence handed down by an officer or officers was improper (too much or too little), you may appeal to the Member/Officer Council for review. If not already formed, one can be put together at your request.

--The key to all of us getting along is COMMUNICATION. Don't bottle something up until it gets to the point you have to leave the guild over it. Talk things out! We can be adults if need be.--
