Sepultura 28 City Tour

Brazilian heavy metal kings Sepultura have announced their long-awaited return to American shores in November!  The band kicks off their 28-city tour at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, AZ on Thursday, November 11.

Sepultura have earned their stripes with a trailblazing, 20+ year career that has seen them walk the path from thrash metal upstarts in the late 1980s to the 'bona fide legend' status that they hold today. Their latest album, "Dante XXI", has been heralded by the press and the heavy metal community worldwide as a true return to form, along with being one of the very finest metal releases of the year.  The album, based on "Divina Comedia", one of the master works of Italian poet and philosopher, Dante Alighieri, has turned heads both for it's razor-sharp sonic aesthetics and it's forward-thinking, literate approach to heavy metal.

 Cargun Returns

Cargun are currently planning a tour of the Northeast for early 2007.
Their new record, tentatively titled "Caravan of Shadows" will be
produced by John Ginty and will be released on their own Rift Valley
Records in February 2007. This will be the band's follow-up to their 2004
release Deep Field South.
Cargun has been on hold since October 2005, due to the departure of
original guitarist Jonas Eno Van-Fleet, who left the band for
personal reasons. During the downtime, bassist Mike Buckman, drummer
John Hummel and vocalist Paul Gerdts recorded and toured with John
Ginty Band, who released their debut CD, Fireside Live, earlier
this year. Ginty has been on tour with Citizen Cope's band since
September 2006, which has allowed time for Cargun to begin recording
the new material they've been working on since Pat joined the band in
January.

Mortiis Update

Mortiis has been busy writing and recording new
material for a new album, to be released 2007.

The music so far is pretty varied, said frontman and band
namesake Mortiis. There's a bunch of really heavy stuff in there,
probably the hardest stuff we've done so far, really guitar driven shit.
Then there's some really ambient sounding stuff, very drone-y and
atmospheric, as well as some more electronic sounding songs too.

Mortiis notes that the songs are still in various stages of completion,
leaving them open to many shifts and changes before the follow-up to
The Grudge is recorded.

It sounds really interesting right now, Mortiis said. Some
old vibes came back to us on some of the songs, some Smell of Rain
vibes and some Grudge vibes and some new vibes. It's all
totally dysfunctional and fucked up in one way or another. Diseased or hurt
minds never really heal up, I guess, and because of that, all in all
it's going to be a really hard, attacking kind of album with the moody
stuff in between.

Some of the working titles are: Zeitgeist, Great Deceiver,
The Ugly Truth, Looking Glass, Doppelganger, Sins
of Mine, Scolding the Burnt, Live Forever, and Road
to Ruin.

Mortiis also recently completed remixes for Zombie Girl and Dope
Stars upcoming releases.
