Dad and Mom News

MOM & DAD 1946

It seems Dad has decided to become the first Bionic great grandfather.  His left shoulder has worn out and the doctor wants to do a replacement.  It will probably happen in early 2006.   The ailing shoulder has not cut out golf or mowing but has curtailed the weed-eating a little.   In a solemn  occasion Dad was ordained as a Deacon.  He had previously  been a Deacon for three terms.  Mom and Dad attended two family reunions.  The Holland-Turner Reunion may be held at a different location next year for financial reasons.  Stay tuned.  As usual, Mom's birthday meant a lot of good eating and great gifts.  Mom and Dad planned a nice day for Danny during his visit but the lunch cruise on the lake was a fiasco when the generator failed and the trip to the D-Day Memorial was very sultry, but they enjoyed being with him just the same.  Good times were had with C.V. and Seadonia and Anita and Eric.
Our family Christmas Dinner will be with Mom and Dad, Dec. 17 at 6 pm.  They want everyone to come.  We haven't all been together since their 50th wedding anniversary.  They will celebrate 60 next year.  They must be doing something right.

DAD IN SLIMMER DAYS

C.V. & Seadonia Family News

C.V. and Seadonia attended the Vest Reunion on his birthday and Mom was embarrassed that she forgot to say, " Happy Birthday" but she called and hopefully, all was forgiven.  They hosted Jade's sixth birthday with a great party prepared by her Dad, Johnny.  They've all enjoyed a summer of camping, cooking out and did not starve despite his garden disaster.  Bob and Brandy continue to enjoy scuba diving and Brandy is excelling in Navy JROTC.
