Here's how it works:

If you can't join us for the Ride and Festival, you can sponsor a
registered rider. No matter how small or large, your generous gift will
help improve the lives of the more than 20 million Americans affected
by diabetes.

You can make a general donation to support the Iowa Rip's B.A.D. Ride fundraiser for the
American Diabetes Assocoation.

register as an event rider:
Logon to the B.A.D. Ride
web site and register for the ride. You can choose to pay the minimum
donation yourself, or raise sponsorship donations and earn additional
"Thank You" rewards. You can also register at several of the area "Bike
Night"
events including Porky's
Pub & Garage on Thursday Nights, and the Indianola
bike night.
Fundraising is easily managed through your personal B.A.D. Ride web page, allowing
you to use email to get the word out. Donations can be paid online so
you don't even need to collect any money. Registered riders also
receive a donation collection envelope if you prefer to raise funds
that way.
Participants are challenged to raise at least $100. Simply ask twenty
of your friends to donate $5.00 and your covered for admittance to the
festival and on your way to earning additional rewards. If you're
really B.A.D. and raise
$500 or more, you may attend the special VIP party held on August 14
which features dinner, live entertainment and both a live and silent
auction. The VIP party and auction items are provided as In-Kind
donations to benefit the American Diabetes Association of Iowa and the
Iowa Rip's B.A.D. Ride.
On
August 15,
You
will
check in at the Start Site of your choice and
turn in your collection envelope. You will receive your festival
admittance passes and then join the escorted group ride to the festival
site. (See "Festival
and
Start
Sites")
The minimum donation to
join
the ride is $25 for early registration or
$30 day of event ($20 additional for a passenger). If you choose to
raise donations that exceed the minimum donation, additional rewards are earned at
the following donation levels. The B.A.D.
Ride comittee challenges you to a fund raising
goal of at least $100 or
more.
