2008-09 Club Committees

The Flowers and Awareness Committee shall appraise the membership of individual members’ achievements, honors, and special celebrations and inform the membership of illness, hospitalization, or death of Kiwanians and immediate family members.

The History Committee shall maintain a record of the significant accomplishments, organization, and legal documents of the Club

The Publicity Committee shall attempt to convey to the public knowledge of Kiwanis and achievements of Kiwanis International, the District, the Division, and this Club.

The Reception and House Committee shall coordinate with the Vice President to make all arrangements for the Club meetings, greet members and guests as they arrive at meetings.

The Social Committee shall make arrangements for special meals and functions involving Club members, spouses and guests

The Circle K Club Committee shall encourage and promote the formation and activities of the youth clubs sponsored by this Club.

The Young Children and Youth Committee shall plan and implement programs that will assist young people to adjust to their environment and adapt to social, moral, education and economic demands which they may encounter. The Committee shall plan activities that involve Club members interacting with young children and youth whenever practical.

The Food Shelf Committee shall arrange for the collection of staple food items and/or money from the public to take place at a major supermarket(s) at an appropriate time(s) of the year. The International Relations Committee shall plan and implement activities relating to the development of friendship among nations, and increasing the understanding of the lifestyle, problems, and aspirations of the people of other nations.

The Human & Spiritual Values Committee shall work to promote the objective of Kiwanis to give primacy to the human and spiritual values of life, and shall coordinate members to provide invocations at Club meetings. The Major Emphasis and Worldwide Service Project Committee shall plan and implement activities in support of the current Major Emphasis and Worldwide Service Project programs of Kiwanis International.

The Aktion Club Committee will coordinate club activities associated with our part in the sponsorship of the Cyclone Area Action Club, including promoting club member attendance at Aktion Club meetings as well as helping with meetings, providing programs for meetings and providing treats for members at meetings.
